Update from NECA

North-Eastern Christian Academy

Praise God for the North-Eastern Christian Academy! It is going GREAT! The students are learning more and more each and every day, as well as the teachers. At the beginning or each day the students say their pledges to the Ghana Flag, the Holy Bible, and the Christian Flag. They sing a couple of songs and have an awesome drum line. The kids are super sweet, hard working, and growing closer to God more every day. The children have already amazed us with their knowledge. Right now, Lora Marsh and Jayme….from Ditney Ridge Baptist Church and Tricia Reeves from Sugar Camp Missionary Baptist church are helping out at the school and training the teachers. They are trying to help with discipline and how to be a good and effective teacher.

We have purchased nine acres of land just before you arrive in Yendi and are looking forward to seeing God’s work as we put together the North-Eastern Complex. It will consist of an elementary school, junior high, senior high, and also a university. There is already a building on the land that consists of 28 rooms (each room consist of a bathroom). We hope to start the roofing next week. These will be used as a guest house until the complex is complete. After it is, they will be used as boarding houses for the students attending the school.

As anyone that has been to Yendi, Ghana can tell you. Internet time is very precious.
At N.E.C.A there is internet (dial-up) hooked to one computer.

We are anxious to hear the tales of your little ones Willie. You took a field trip to Tamale Airport. I would bet it was beyond anything some of the children could have imagined.
Waiting patiently for an update:)
